Maybe I haven't been clear so I will just give some criteria of what I would like to do and how I would like it to function.

I would like to set up an order form for customer service. In this example we are selling vehicles and every vehicle has some options. The options to the customer are for the tranmission type and colour. Customer service is to make selections on vehicle from a drop down list. Once vehicle is selected, a neighbouring drop down list for transmission will list the transmission configurations available for the selected vehicle. Once transmission type is selected, a neighbouring drop down list will allow a colour selection for that particular vehicle/transmission selection.

Vehicles will not be available in every transmission type and colour.

For example, a Passat which is typically driven by an older group of people with more luxury in mind, will not be available in manual transmission. It also will not be available in the colour red. These options should not be available when the vehicle type Passat is selected.

A GTI on the other had which is sporty vehicle driven by younger folks will only be available in manual transmission or an automatic transmission with paddle shifting. The GTI will only be available in colours black, white, or red for both transmission options. These are the only selectable options that must be available in the order form.

An automatic Jetta may only be available in white, blue, or green. While a manual transmission Jetta will be available in black, white, or red. Again, only these options should be selectable in the order form.

Therefore, a predefined list of vehicle variations needs to be generated for customer service to select from.

This predefined list must be flexible to easily add new vehicles and new vehicle options. For example, maybe a lot of people are asking for Jetta in automatic and colour yellow. I would like to be able to add that colour so that it is available to customer service. Perhaps my customers want to buy a Honda that is manual and colour orange. I would like to easily add that vehicle and variation to the master list for customer service to select from.

Hopefully this is a clearer explanation of what I am after.

The selection process you described is simply Cascading Combo Boxes. As for adding the additional colors or options, I believe you should use a separate form for that function.
