Page Header for Each User

Hello,



I am creating a report that displays a report name in the report header; a user name in the Page header; and six charts in the Detail. I have 20 users each of whom I'd like to have a different report page. How would I show each user's name in the Page header of each page then link the user name to show specific data for each chart within the detail section? I have been working around each part and getting each piece to work, but I have been unable to get each to work simultaneously.

I understand this is a lot to ask about, but any help/direction would be appreciated!

I am not sure what you are asking.

You can use the "Page" and "Pages" properties of the report to format the header based on a page number. If the report will always print a predetermined number of pages per EmpID, you could hard code the format properties of the header to include the EmpID/Name.

Are you storing the users name in a table or were you just planning on using the username that they log into Windows with?

Thank you for responding, but I have managed to figure it out. Basically, this is what I did...

1. put the [user name] field within the "page Header" section.
2. under properties for "detail" section. with control, "Force New Page" I selected "before section.
--->This created a new page for every user.
