    Retrieving Design Master Access 2000

I lost my hard drive and it was necessary to reinstall Windows XP and Access 2000. I recovered my .MDB file. I can open the file but it states "Cannot modify the design at a replica." It is the only copy I was able to recover. What do I do to be able to work with this file, make changes, etc?

    Help much appreciated!

Firstly, this is not something I have done before working with a replica but have had success with a regular db. Having said that, I would create a new db. Open it and go to File, Get external data---> Select your database that you need data from and try to import all the tables, queries, reports, forms and modules. See if that works for you.

That help retrieve my forms and reports but I am still unable to change the deign of the data base. Still states I cannot change a replicated file.

Many thanks! Those two Knowledge Base files solved my problem. Search them is often hopeless despite the fact you know your problem is probably not unique. Starting to wonder if updating my Access program would help?
