    Memo to Text or Number

    Hello,

I have a table in access around 5 milltion records where I need to convert on field from memo to text or a number. This isn't a large feild only 6 numbers so size won't be a problem. Does anybody have any suggestions in how to perform this operation?

    Thanks,

    Mike

First off, you really need to get it straight, in your own mind, which it is you're trying to do, change this Field to a Number or to Text! Are these 'numbers' going to be used to do math? Are they 'serial numbers?' What?

Are you talking about 6 digits, here, or 6 sets of digits?

We really need more information, in order to help you.
