Hi and good day,
I have an old access 97 application that is distributed using the access runtime.
I am in the process of upgrading the software to access 2010 or 2013(mostly likely stopping in Access2003 along the way). The application is split so that I have a data mdb and an application mdb. I can upgrade the app file and get that out to the users. As I understand it, later versions of Access can't read mdbs.
SO, the data files for my users need to be updated as well, and I'm not sure how to accomplish this within the runtime environment. The fallback would be to have the users send me their data files as they migrate, but there are hundreds of users, so that doesn't seem feasible (or at least it'd be very painful).
So, the question is.....Is there a way to convert and mdb to the newer format within the runtime environment?
Thanks for any guidance and have a good day...
