    If those 'blanks' are actually spaces then the Replace function should substitute them with empty string. It works in my test. So yes, there must be something weird about the Excel data. Would have to examine. If you want to provide, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

    Thank you very much for the offer, but I ended up just biting the bullet and doing it by hand. I am now testing the new table to see if it functions the way I want. Thanks again to everyone.
