In query, yes/no box is checkmarked, blank, or shaded (why shaded?)

    Hello All,

I have a query where I include yes/no fields from 2 different tables. When i run the query, some boxes are "shaded". In the tables, boxes aren't checkmarked. Why are these shaded? Thanks!

The "shaded" boxes have no value yet. They are not True *or* False yet. They are Null.
