We'll need a bit more information, as your question is unclear. Does the reference number appear in both tables? Are you wanting to list only the table it appears in? What if it's in both tables? Be as specific as you can, and our answers will be more likely to help.

    Hi
thanks for the reply, the reference number should only be placed in one table this is the reason for the look up so we don't make duplicates between each, if it is in both tables then both need to be shown if it's shown in one table then only that table is to be shown

I still don't understand why you have two tables it COULD be in. This sounds like you should probably have a single table, with an indicator, rather than two tables. Can you clarify the usage?

Please spend some time on your answer - we need sufficient information to give a reasonable reply.

Forget I even asked I just wanted to know if it's possible and how, the reason for it shouldn't matter as it's for work purposes

The reason matters more than you think. What you're describing doesn't tell me nearly enough about what you're trying to do.

In the future, don't ask questions and expect answers any clearer than the question you asked.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
