Yosemite National Park needs your help.

Greetings, due to budget issues and an overworked IT staff, I have been unsuccessful in acquiring a simple database to assist the Law Enforcement Operations branch with our property.

I am looking for someone to create a simple database in which property could be entered, assigned, tracked and inventoried. It would be great if it could print receipts for incoming and outgoing equipment. I have searched through templates but have not been able to locate one that fits our needs.

If you are interested in assisting me, please contact me. I will be able to compensate someone by providing a campsite in Yosemite National Park.

    Thanks,
    Ranger Kevin Davis

What do you mean by 'assigned and tracked'.

Have you looked at the Lending Library template? It might be adaptable for your situation.

We are volunteers willing to help you in your effort but I doubt anyone will want to take on the role of developer.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

That is pretty dang close to what I need. Thanks for the tip.

Is it possible to print a receipt upon issuing? where it will just auto populate a form with fields and a general statement.

What about adding a separate form for when maintenance is due.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Those would be modifications you would have to develop. You need to learn a few things in order to develop and manage database: database principles, Access functionality, programming concepts, and VBA and/or macro coding. Should probably work through some books and tutorials before trying to develop your own or to modify template. Review https://www.accessforums.net/tutoria...als-34260.html

Probably want the receipt to be a report object. The maintenance due info could be presented in a form or report.
