Can I make my application portable?

I have created several successful Access applications. I now want to create an application which can be maintained on more than one computer, some which may not have MS Office with Access installed. Can I put the entire application and data files on a CD which could then be maintained on different computers. I guess that means all would be in a .exe file and maybe use CD-RW discs.

for PCs with XP,Vista,Windows7 - but not with Access itself (Office) you will need to use a Runtime version of the application.

you will need to upgrade your version to Access2007 in order to get the free runtime capability.

CDs don't have anything to do with it - other than a manner of transport....

you'll want to do some research in the Access07 textbooks on making a runtime version and experiment with your first app as runtime inherently limits users accessability to certain functions - - which in many cases is a good thing -- -- but not if you were going to do anything in the object window for example....

making a runtime with 03 required a developers license which at this point in time isn't worth it - compared to moving up to 07 where it is free.
