I deleted a field from my main table. Now I have a ghost variable

Ok I'm an idiot and this is probably really easy. I made a variable to pass some data then realized I didn't need it. So I deleted it. However I had already added that field to my main report and info entry form. So now when I start either one it gives me a popup box to enter that variable and that is bad. I really don't want to recreate this while thing. So any ideas on how to get rid of this thing?

Likely a textbox is bound to that field.

ok that was really way too annoying for what fixed it. apparently you cant delete just one thingfrom the data source for a form or report. I had to delete them all. then i just copied all my needed fields back to a small spot a deleted them again leaving their originals in place. it seems to be working fine now without the ghost variables. this one might be a good one to remember for the future. the last time this happened to me I recreated the entire db.

If based on a query, you may need to delete from there. These things can also hide in Sorting and Grouping and the Order By property. If you still can't find it, can you post the db here?

Glad you got it fixed, but you can certainly delete a field without having to do all that.

I'm quite sure there was a much easier way. I got the idea from a google search. Access deleted fields ghost remnants. Ps I think I also figured out the other post u were helping me with will know in about 10 min. I will post to that one if I get it working
