Working with PDF's

I was just wondering if it is possible to have a link to the location of a file on your computer. So that when you click it the file will come up. I will be mostly working with PDF's. If anyone knows how to do this or if its possible it would be a great help.

There are lots of ways to do this. One way is to simply use a HyperLink field type.
