    What tables do I need

Hi all - I am creating a DB for a company that sells electronic components. Customers submit lists of parts (RFQ's) for quote and those RFQ's then sometimes turn into orders....10% of the time the parts on the RFQ are in stock and other times we call other suppliers for quotes...My question is, what tables do I need for the actual 'parts' themselves...We want to be able to keep track of all of the parts we are quoting as we do get RFQ's from different customers for the same parts....I am thinking:

    TABLES
    -------
    RFQ's
    Orders
    Order Details
    Customers
    Suppliers
    Quotes

    Inventory

You need at least one table of Parts.

    PartID
    PartDescription

Probably also need a 'junction' table to associate the RFQ record with parts?

And another 'junction' table to associate the Quote record with parts?

And another 'junction' table to associate the Order record with parts (Order Details?)?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
