Setting up default value in combo box using different table.

I want to set a default value in a combo box. The source of the combo box is another table. I am able to pull the values from the this table in the combo box. I am able to select the values. But i want to set a default value in the combo box from the source table so that if no value is selected then that default value should be there.

In Form Design View select the Combobox and go to Properties - Data and set the Default Value Property to whatever you like.

Thanks for. Your reply. I know how to set the default. Value. But I need to set the default value using a table that is the source for the combo box. I want to set one id from the that table as a default value for the combo box so that if nothing is selected that value should be stored in the relationship table.

How do you plan to identify which ID to set as the Default?

Hi,

I am able to set the default value in the sub-form. But not able to load once the form is loaded. In the below screenshot The default value is displayed only when then first time the value in the itype is selected and i also want to set the default values in the solution and in the industry also but no values are loaded.
I want to load the default values in all 3 drop-downs as soon as the form is loaded.
