    Tabbed System

    Hello all,

This is obviously my first post and I hope (per most forums) I am not doubling up on another post. I search for 'tab' and get a lot of what I (inexperienced) see as gibberish.

At any rate, I have posted a couple pix below of what I am trying to do. The first is of my current dbase and how it looks when I open multiple windows. I dont like it.

This second pic is of what I would like to see (courtesy of a new template file). I like how it keeps my system structure more organized.

How can I modify my current structure (very extensive...) to have this simpler cleaner 'tabbed' layout?

    Tks so much!

Tabs is the default when creating new database. Did you create this database? You would have had to change the setting to get Overlapping Windows. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ac...41609.aspx#BM1
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

So, that worked wonders. Now, just as a question, can have a tabbed system as I just setup be still be able to have my forms, queries ect NOT full screen? When I enabled the tabs it seems to have removed the option for to change the size of each window that is open, likely because of the overlap mode being gone. The reason I ask this is because it is nice to have our 'tblmorgue' open along side our 'tbljoblog' (morgue being old work, joblog being current) to compare costs, information headings ect at a glance instead of clicking back and forth. I guess I want to have my cake and eat it to.

    Tks!

Nope. It's one or the other.

You could have the two logs as side-by-side subforms.
