New record take on all values of prior?

Is there a way, or a setting, without writing a macro (I'm really a newbie) to have all the field values in a new record take on all the values of the previous record, when the "next record" button is pressed? Most will have the same values. I'm also using a subform in my form, if that matters all.

    Hi cps6568,

You can set the default values for each field in "Table Design" mode.

    Cheers,

I can see where to do that, but no operator for "prev record" value or anything like that.

Hello. This would require VBA code. Macros would not do. I would give you the code here but you say you are new. You wouldn't understand VBA code. If you don't want to do it with code I can help you (free) to do this one thing. You'd need for me to see the database for me to make it work for you. If you could just email me the name of the table you are referring to I could write the code for you.

I am a tutor. I can teach you from the beginning by having a virtual meeting over the Internet. Do you want to learn MS Access? I have 13 years of experience and can help you learn from the simple to the complex.
