    startup problem

    Hi,

When I startup the db, im getting an error message which I do not understand where the problem is:

This expression is typed incorrectly, or it is too complex to be evaluated. For example, a numeric expression may contain too many complicated elements. Try simplifying the expression by assigning parts of the expression to variables.

I note that a subform is blank when I run the form, but when I run the subform on its own it works fine.

Also, the subform within the form works when there is no data in the table, it is only once data has been inputted that it stops working. I have checked the fields and everything is ok, they are simply text fields.

Also, this is not part of any calculations nor any code, it is simply a form where text data is added to the records inputted on a form.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!
    Eric

Are you using queries for the RecordSource of both the Form and the SubForm?

    I figured it out thanks.

Basically the related fields were of different types. I wish it would just say so!
