access 03 wont open on windows 07, URGENT

im making a db on access 03 on my laptop with windows 7, but it suddenly stopped opening.



when i click on the icon it looks like its opening, then fades away. iv tried opening the db directly but nothing happens

i trouble shooted the compatability and it came back incompatable, how do i fix this? it was working before

i need this fixed ASAP, deadline to meet :S

By any chance, did the database close unexpectedly? You might have a lock file that should have been deleted. Look in the directory (folder) where the database was last opened for a file that looks like "yourDatabaseName.ldb". Or search the C drive for "*.ldb"

This file keeps track of who is logged into the database and the lock type. If the database is not closed properly, the .ldb file is not deleted. I have this happen a lot when developing a new Function of Sub.

no, access in general just wont open today :/ all my other ms office 03 apps are working fine, just the one i need wont work :L

i have found a LDB file version of my db and deleted it

no effect :/

After you deleted the LDB file, did you restart the computer?

(that's all I have... out of ideas)

nope, im too busy to that right now so ill do it later and see.

i tried to reinstall it there and it came up "ERROR: Fatal error occured during installation" i attempted a few times and got the same msg
