Access 2010 form opening as read only

    Hi
I have developed a database in Access 2003 which is used in a networked environment. Recently some users upgraded to 2010, and when opening some forms in this version the add records button is disabled in the navigational toolbar.

Appreciate any help in how to resolve this.

Don't know why 2010 is having issue with the 2003 form. Is there some security settings in the 2003 project? If you want to provide project I will test with my 2010.

Is this network internal to your organization? Why did only some users upgrade? Should be an organization-wide event.

    Hi June7
I suspect you are right and it might be down to a security issue. I developed this for a client and would prefer not to post project unless I have to, and would have to get permission to do so. I will take a closer look within the next few days and let you know the outcome.

    Thanks for your help

they need to add the network location to trusted sites on the A2010 settings, it is disabling the code that runs when the record is saved.

Thanks for the reply, I added the location as a trusted site, but it is still the same. Could it be an issue with windows 7

No experience with Windows 7 so I can't say. Google search find anything?
