    Export to Excel with OutputTo

    Hi,

When I export a table to Excel with OutputTo and open the file, I get the "File error. Some number formats may have been lost." message. How could I use the OutputTo to export tables with the right number formats (do not get the message mentioned above).
    Thanks.

What are the datatypes of the fields in the table you are trying to export? Do any of them hold a calculated value?

The table was created by a query (the table contains some text fields, number fields and date fields).
I tried to export a simple table (an autonumber field, a text field and a number field) and the problem is the same with this table (when I open the Excel file, I get the "File error. Some number formats may have been lost." message).

    thats... weird.

I did a google search and it looks like its due to the fact that excel isnt liking the fact that something else is running it (macro, code, w/e) I take it you are using a newer version of excel. make sure the folder the db is in is whitelisted by excel's macro stopper feature thingy (or just turn the damn thing off).

Outside of that, I really dont know what to tell you.
