Post Don't want linked tables in my form

I have multiple tables created as an inventory database for various pieces of equipment. I'd like to create a form with checkboxes for yes/no fields within the tables. However, I'd rather not link the tables if I don't have to. Is there a way to develop the form without linking the tables? Thanks.

if you don't link the form with a table, you need to populate all the textboxes and other objects manually or by program.

if you just don't want user to change the table, you can set the form's property "allow edit" to NO.
