Combo wizard problem not digitally signed

on an existing database in design mode, my combo box control, when used, gives the following 3 messages one after the other:

1. A security concern has been identified...points to the ACWZMAIN.ACCDE file
2. Connot open due to security restrictions, and then, Security settings restrict access to the file because it is not digitally signed


3. The code contains a syntax error, or a function you need is not available.

This problem has appeared on a used database with ongoing development...changes to forms etc.

Can't even create a combo box without the wizard

I have tried changing options in the macro settings...no change

Can you upload a copy of the database to see if we get the same errors?

Is it by any chance a database that you received via the internet or email? If so, did you unblock it?

Or it's being copied/moved around and this one is not in a Trusted Location? Check that out if the db is not in a folder where it works/worked before.
