Active X content blocked despite in trusted location

I had a strange problem today where a database I have been using suddenly would not work properly.

I got the following message :-

The database is in a trusted location and I have not changed anything since it was working yesterday.
After fiddling about, I managed to get it working again by setting the following :

When I looked, the top box was checked - before changing to the fourth. I don't know which box was checked yesterday, so can't verify if the 4th option is the correct one.
Can anyone explain this change of behaviour?
I would have thought if it was in a trusted location, all Active X content should work.

You probably experienced a security update, which can apply restrictions without asking you. If you're so inclined, you should be able to review your update history to see if I'm out in left field or not.

Yes, I believe you are right. It looks like it is to do with Microsoft being stricter with Active-X controls. I use TreeView and sometimes Active-X text boxes which suit my purposes better in a few cases.
It seems Active-X content is now blocked by default, despite the program being in a trusted location. I have actually changed the setting to "Prompt me before enabling all controls with minimal restrictions". This seems to work.
