The property sheet for fields and the overall form contain a wealth of useful items. What many of those options do is obvious from the name but not everything falls into that 'obvious' category. Does anyone know of a document that discusses what all of the options do.


It's not always a matter of trying an option to see what it does - at least not for me. Sometimes I'll try different values for different options and nothing seems to change so you need to know what to expect. Sometimes an option is only applicable if another condition is met but I can't find anything that explains all of that.

You can get a quick look by selecting the line in the property sheet and hitting F1.

Sometimes F1 doesn't provide any useful information. Sometimes the object browser doesn't either. Sometimes I just go here but it seems to require that you know where what you're looking for fits into the scheme of things. The link is for the top of the M$ application tree so you'll have to drill down to whatever app you want to research.
