How to set up ODBC connection to Access Database( .mdb or .accbd)

I have selected ODBC data source then in the drivers I selected MS access DataBase and finish.

Then in the ODBC Microsoft Access type when I try to set up the Data source Name and select it is taking to my C: drive and allowing me to browse only c drive and not net work.

    Is there any other way?

    Thank you

Just trying to set up user DSN so I can use in Tableau or other apps. Not sure what application we will use to read access tables.
or is it easy to create file dsn? If so can I get an example template so I can make changes with DB and table name.

What do you suggest user dsn or file dsn?

    Thank you

Not something I have every had to do but sounds like you are using windows ODBC Data Source Administrator? I see options for network, so not clear what your issue is? Provide some screenshots.

With regards types of DSN - that is down to you as to how you want the setup to work - but probably file dsn so you can put it on the network for others to use or user dsn if just you

I can't advise as not my area of expertise, I can say you would need to make a connection of some sort - see the connection string link I provided and suggest try a forum more closely linked to R and/or Python
