Report Complaining after Query update

Hey guys one more question.



I updated the name of the field in a query. I updated the box in the report that references that feild in the report by going into properties-->data-->control source and selected the new field name.

However when I want to look at the report I get an error to "Enter Parameter Value"

I tried googling this issue but im probably not explaining google correct issue Im having so maybe one of you can help me out. i click ok and it works but its annoying.

Did you add any grouping or sorting to the report based on the same field.
That may also need updating.

Reports create their own hidden underlying queries based on the one you use, so it may need a careful look around to find the issue.
Normally it's a typo somewhere.

yep your right i had a sorting for that field and i did not know i needed to update that too. Thank you very much for helping me out!
