How do I active the "text Formatting" section of the ribbon when I'm in a "memo field?

I'm trying to Bold or unbold a selected section of text that is in a memo field in a form.
However, I haven't been able active the "Text Formatting" section of the ribbon to do it.

Note: I have tried it with regular text and RTF text and neither worked

Anyone know what I'm missing or doing wrong

I'm really stuck, and any help will be greatly apricated.
    Thanks

    Dave

I tested with a long text (memo) field set to RTF format and have no problem from the ribbon or the popup format context menu that arises when I select text. If you're sure the field is formatted as RTF, then I can only suggest you upload the db for further analysis.

Thank you Micon If you hadn't told me that it worked for you I would never have found the problem.

I was using an existing table and had only changed the memo fields to RTF in the db table.
Turns out I had to go into the form and change the property of each memo field in that form to RTF also.
As soon as I did that everything started working OK.

If you hadn't told me that you tried it and it work I don't think I would have ever found it.

God bless you for making my day

You did all the work, so kudos to you! Glad I was able to help, even if only a little.
