Can't find any "navigator" in report design access 2016

I'm brand new in Microsoft access 2016 (previous used libreoffice).

I'm creating an report form, and can't find the navigator (where I can see and select all objects)

    is there none?
how can I otherwise select objects in the background?

Not sure what you mean by 'navigator' - Navigation Pane or Property Sheet? And what do you mean by 'report form'? Select what objects when - design view? Select objects in the background of what?

when I'm designing an report, is there somewhere I can see all objects, like all text boxes, all lines, rectangles, that exist in the report, and where I can click on the name of the control (objects) to edit it.. (usually called an navigator)

Sounds like you have minimized the Ribbon?
Right click the ribbon and click Minimize the Ribbon, to remove the checkmark.
Please use # icon on toolbar when posting code snippets.

That sounds like Property Sheet. It's same as when designing a form. Turn on Property Sheet from the ribbon or right click over a report/form section and select Properties.

Another way to hide/unhide ribbon is with the arrow next to the help question mark on right edge of app frame.
