    forms and tables

i've been revising my access with the help of a tutorial. It says that tables and forms are linked i.e. if I change something from the form, this will be reflected in the table. I've been trying to enter some new fields in my table, but although I have saved, the modifications are not shown in the table. Am I doing something wrong?

    Hi Roberta,

normally the data are stored in tables and shown in the forms. So if you change the data in a form (like changing an address), actually the data that are stored in the table are changed.
Adding fields to a table don't automatically add those fields to the linked form. You still have to add them to the existing queries, forms and reports.
Mainly you have to distinct between the data (the records) and the object structures l(tables, fields, indexes, queries, forms, reports, macro's, modules)

    greetings
    NG

    forms and tables

So, if I understood correctly, forms and tables are linked only where a changing occurs - it does not apply to adding of new fields
