    Creating a History

Is there any way to make a db history. so that when information is changed say an address the information that was in the address field will not be overwritten. so that if there was any question about why information was changed the user could just veiw the history.

Sure; the term you want to search on "audit trail".

Who said that? I have several applications where I've created an audit trail, and I always use forms to add records.

I have not used that particular method, but Allen's code is usually very good. Where exactly are you trying to add those? I see nothing wrong with those as field names.

Have you first added them to a table? They would have to be fields in the table underlying the form before you could add them as a control source.
