    convert to web

    Hi

Over the past months I have taken 500 or so spreadsheets and imported them into an access 2013 database , which from starting with limited knowledge and with a lot of help now works!

I have just been asked can it be added to their website.

My automatic reaction was no not in it's present format. I suspect I would need either mysql or probablt MSql capapbility which the web site has but I do not.

ON the web are lots of both free and chargable programs to convert from Access to mysql

Would appreciate any thoughts and advice

    thanks

    Ian

Access works great over a network with its self contained tables/reports/queries.
You loose the easy make front end using the web. You have to make all new front ends in web design.

    Others will know more.

which bit of access are you referring to? the back end or the front end? The backend can be pretty much anything, access, MySQL, sql server etc, and can be local or web based (subject to firewall restrictions). The front end can only be access - client based, not web based. If you want a web based front end (i.e. to run in a browser), you require a complete rewrite of the front end in the language of your choice (html5, java whatever), there are no conversion apps that will convert front end access to work in a browser, except perhaps at the most basic level, so sounds like your automatic reaction is correct.
