Percentage of Count (text) data in Access Query?

    Dear all,

First of all nice to meet you. I am desparatly looking for some help on this issue. I am working on Access 2016.

Let's say my data is a result of interview survey, in which the nationality of 10 people in 3 different zones has been asked, like this:

    ID Zone Nationality
    1 Zone1 French
    2 Zone1 French
    3 Zone1 Italian
    4 Zone2 German
    5 Zone2 French
    6 Zone2 German
    7 Zone3 Italian
    8 Zone3 Italian
    9 Zone3 French
    10 Zone3 Italian

What I would like to have is the percentage of nationality in each zone. For example Zone3 will have 75% of Italian and 25% of French people.

I think I have to use Count or DCount in expression but I really cannot figure out the way of achieving this.

Thank you very much for your help

    Best regards,

    -Antoine

Probably simplest approach is to build a report and use its Sorting & Grouping features with aggregate calcs in group and report sections.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
