yes no data not importing into checkbox correct

Hi,
I am importing data from excel that has a field called surveyed. It is a yes/ no field and should correlate into a checkbox filed. Maybe this is incorrect way to import the checkbox - I assumed it was yes/ no phrase. Can anyone tell me really quick what I am doing wrong or how to solve this?
already tried converting my data to -1 & 1 in the excel sheet and it did not work.

In Access, -1 is Yes/True and 0 is No/False.
