    ULS gone after split.

    Hi.

I have a SINGLE FILE database. I'm sure I have set all the permissions correctly.
Now, when I split the database into a FE and a BE, the FE loses the permission settings. I don't know what to do, and I don't know what I'm missing.

I've got VBA code in the forms protected by a project password. Should I remove it? I've got a bypass key function. Should I disallow it too?

The users with lower permissions can't access the database, but the admins (including me) can access both the split FE and BE.

I don't know what to do.

    Please help.

This is driving me nuts. I'm gonna run the DB first in a multi-user environment as a single file today. Then I resolve the splitting issue tomorrow. Hope to get a response.

By the way, the ULS-enabled database works on all PC's connected to the network. I just can't make the permissions work if the DB is split into FE and BE. Won't even work in my own computer locally, but the admins accounts can open it.

Okay, finally I got this figured out.

The problem lies in the linked tables no longer having the original ULS permissions inside the front-end. So, I had to manually assign the same ULS on the "linked tables" even though these permissions already exist in the back-end permanent tables.

Now, I can split my database. What a relief.
