MS Access 2010 64 bit oe 32 bit

I am using MS Access 2010 that my place of employment has provided for me. I have gotten along with it and have gone far into this project with it.
However, today I installed MS Office 2016 on my home computer that I got from HUP (home user program). It was inexpensive and the cost to download it was about $ 10.00.

While I was using it (2016) at one point I wanted to stop its action and I pressed ctrl-alt-del to bring up the task manager.

To my surprise it said that my version of MS Office 2016 was 32 bit. That was a surprise! I am sure that the one I was using at work was 64 bit.

Now I want to know is how can I (other than using ctrl-alt-del ) check to see if MS Office 2010 is 32 bit or 64 bit?

The second thing I if I actually have MS Office 2016 32 bit, how do I change it to 64 bit?

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,

    Lou Reed

Is this actually causing something in your database not to run? I don't think I've had an issue that I couldn't solve running a database between different 'bit' versions of ms access.

You also do not need to hit ctrl-alt-delete to cancel code from running. In most cases you can hit ctrl-break (pause) to break out of code or macros. without having to kill the database.

I've run into the issue before and most code works fine. However various api declarations in vba code have to be altered slightly.

    See here for details

Exactly, it's only ever an issue for me when using API calls.

Click on File>Help and look at the 'about access' section

reinstall and select the 64bit option

Okay, I think (hope) that I can get the 64 bit MS Office 2016 to download. However, how does one uninstall MS Office 2016 32-bit. It seems it could be a problem.

I just think it is best to use the 64 bit version of a software suite, if you have a 64 bit computer.

Again, how does one uninstall the sprawling and very diverse Microsoft Office 2016?

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

with regards access, there is zero benefit in having the 64bit version. It is only of benefit to Excel users who need to handle very large (1m+) datasets.

With regards uninstall, the same as with any program - through the windows control panel
