    Online Registration into Access

    Hi,

I'm involved with a summer camp, and we have working database for our camp on Access 2016. Is it possible to have an online registration for our website and have the information automatically flow into Access? If so, could you tell me what I'm looking for and/or direct me to some reading on it?

The person who designed and updates our database wasn't sure about online capabilities in conjunction with Access.

    Thank you!
    Greg

There is a web version that is a light version of the full one.
i would try MySql as a backend on the web, and Access as a desktop analysis/reporting.

    Greg,

There is not a simple, built-in method for an Access Desktop database to work directly with an online registration form.

The good news is there are ways to import data into Access once you get the data from the web site.

I have created separate front ends for several clients and myself that will import the data collected on a web site. I have written code to import from 1) emails within an Outlook folder 2) exported files generated from a web site 3) “link” directly to the mySQL database on the remote web site and read the data.

The method I use depends on the capabilities of the form on the web site.
