    Disappearing New Records

    Hi All,
I inherited a super simple Access database (only 2 relationships in the whole thing) with just over 10,000 records in it.
Suddenly I can make changes to existing records and save those but if I enter a new record, save the database, close it, and open it back up the new records are gone.
I tried running a compact and repair and unfortunately that didn't work. I'm just about the sole user and unfortunately I'm not a computer whiz-kid (just a mere plant geek).
Any thoughts? Apologies if there's already an answer out there that I haven't been able to find...
    Thanks!

    Jaime

are you using an autonum field?
When you enter the new record, and get a new autonum, ...is it missing from the new records?
    or
    did the autonums never increment?
