    Form w / subform

I have created a subform linked to a main form, however, when I add a record in the subform a record gets added to the main form as well. I am not sure what happened as there isn't duplicate records in the source table the form is putting the info in. Any suggestions on how to correct this?

the master form should be looking only at the master record in the master table, (say tPerson)
the sub form should be looking at an entirely different table than the master record...the sub table. (tPhones)
    1 person has many phones.
The sub form should be linked to the master form on the KEY field.

That's what I thought. However, the records all get navigated thru. I only have 6 work orders, and each has 5 or so eateries on the subform. So when I navigate thru the main form, I have almost 30 records.
