    popup form scroll bar

    HI

I seem to have dug myself into a hole so to speak

I have a form that appears in the centre of the screen and gas properties
popup yes and modal no. Default view is Single form. Scroll Bars are set to Both

It all works well and the complete form is visible.

However when I view it on my laptop the form is bigger than the screen so disappears at the bottom.

Not an issue I thought but there are no scroll bars to be seen.

I gather a popup just places the form on top of the rest of the screen.

    Where have I gone wrong?

    thanks

    Ian

You need the form to be visible on any screen? Set the Auto Center value for the form to Yes. and It should center on the middle of the screen. Scrollbars should also be set to an option in properties like Vertical Only.

You may also want to look into anchoring properties on the form for the objects.

    Ian,
What is the purpose of the form?
If you need to have a response on that form before continuing, you may want modal = Yes.

Hi thanks for the reply I suspect my issue is I've gone to complicated. I simply like to have all my forms centred on the screen and I find that for some reason the form property doesnot centre for me. ( work in progress) However I discovered that by setting the form to popup it was centred which was exactly what I wanted. I found out yesterday that one of my forms is quite high and does not fully appear on a laptop screen and as it#s a popup there are no scroll bars. So i suspect I'll have to go back to the start and try to grasp the concepts of form positioning cheers Ian
