Access Criteria is not being followed

I am using a Gas Analysis Monitor and inputting the excel files into access. When I set the criteria for temperature to be above 120 (>120), it gives me almost all of my data and the majority aren't even over 50.

When I set the criteria to less than 120 (<120), it gives me just a few points that are roughly 90 to 115.

I am very new with access and am just using the basic uses. Any suggestion for what I may be doing wrong or could do instead?

    Thank you

Would be easier if you could show us (screenshots of query designer maybe?) how do you "set the criteria".

you are describing how you are doing this, but not what you are actually doing.

Suggest post your actual sql code.

I had each field type specified as number except for that specific field, which was labeled as text. That was my problem. Thanks anyway
