Linking Google Earth with an Access Database

I have a database that contains information on various facilities, it produces reports on mechanical equipment, and other information. I would like to link these building locations to Google Earth, by physical address. Does anyone have some experience in doing this?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I have not with Google Earth. To be honest, I am not sure what google earth is, exactly. It seems the first features Google Earth had are now part of Google Maps. But, it can't be that different from Google Maps and I have built applications that use Google Maps API's to do stuff. I would start with creating a Google Developers account.

Also, you will want a clear definition of what you want your application to do (business rules). You can do all sorts of stuff with Google API's, but there are many rules and just because you can figure out a way to do it, does not mean you are granted permission to do so by Google.

AFAIK, the data would have to be Lat/Long in a KML file. We export georeferenced data from ArcGIS into KML file. Open the KML and since GoogleEarth is our default KML viewer, it opens and loads the KML data.

GoogleEarth is a freebie download (like Adobe Reader). GoogleMaps is a very different animal.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
