Creating a Search box on a header on a form

I am creating a search box on the header. I want to search for cart number then that cart will show up with all of its information. I created a button and a text box and named them. What would the code be to do this.
please can you do detailed steps as been a while since working in access.

John,

There is a combo box wizard (option 3) that will do what you need. It will write all the code for you. The advantage to a comb box is that it can validate the chart number for you.

At least try it and look at the code it created.
