Hello, was hoping to get some help with adding barcode capability to an already existing Access 2007 database. I have a manufacturing customer that I have periodically done database maintenance for. The database already has established Queries and reports for printing carton and pallet shipping labels for their products. Now one of their customers is requiring them to change these labels to accommodate barcodes on both the carton and pallet label.
Here is what the current label contains and looks like:
The requested criteria for the new label is:
a. Quantity with unit of measure (barcode)
b. the FQ part number and (barcode)
c. the Lot number (barcode)
Text Only
d. Vendor Name
e. Material manufacture date
The criteria for the pallet label is:
a. the FQ purchase Order number (barcode)
b. the FQ part number (barcode)
c. the quantity (barcode)
d. the pallet ID and (barcode)
e. the lot number (barcode)
Text Only
f. Vendor name and address
g. Quantity with unit of measure
h. Material manufacture date
The current label printer they have is a Datamax I-4212e and is barcode capable.
At this juncture I have no idea were my starting point is. So far the only thing I have done was to copy each query and report already in the database for the existing labels and renamed them with the prefix of BC.
Any and all help someone might be able to lend with this would be very much appreciated.
