I see this duplicate name used. Where is the original one?

In the tutorial at step 72. It reads: http://www.functionx.com/access/Lesson37.htm

    Name: cbxCarID

When I did this, Access gave me an error saying this selected name was already in use. Choose another.

    I then selected:

    Name: cbxCarIDD.

But I am curious. I looked at the sheet and I do not see it being used anywhere else. I am only looking at textboxes and combo boxes. Is there anything else

    I should look for?

    Thanks in advance.

    R,

    Lou Reed

Anything could have that name. But if it doesn't show up in the Property Sheet dropdown list then should not get this error. If you do see it in the list then select it from the list and it will show as selected on the form.

Is it possible that it was the name of a combo box that was deleted, but its names is still in the system somewhere, and causing this error?

Unlikely. Run Compact & Repair. If still an issue, possibly the db is corrupted. I can't really say for sure without examining.
