Numbers automatically hiding behind # letters

Hi, I'm just doing a school assignment with MS Access 2010.

I made a simple table and a form. Data of a few music recordings are in the table, including title, composer, and the year of composition. Then I made a form showing thoes lists grouping by composer, via Form Wizard, only to find the years appear like #### instead of showing the number. If I click the text box the number appears. Otherwise, It just remains ####. I went through property sheet but could not find any option related to this problem. How can I make the number show itself?
