Filtering out data

I am not sure this is the correct group but I have a report that lists a group of project based on a project number and under each project there are titles of people and if one title appears the other title should not appear for example if I have the title Developer then the title Estimate should not appear and if I have the title MO then the title MO Estimate should not appear in the report. I base it off a file called Personnel that has the values of Project number and title that is in a query perhaps I can change that so it no longer has the extra values and use that new file instead of the personnel file for the query.
