    Split forms

Is it possible to combine 2 split forms in a new form. Combine meaning show 2 split forms in a single form? I am trying to provide a work stream form that will display work in progress from 2 different sources / 2 types of work. The split forms provides the benefit of seeing all work in the datasheet with the form view to make updates. I want to combine into a single form and apply a filter based on whom the work is assigned to limit the records the assignee sees.

    Thanks, Neil

Did you try putting split form on a normal form?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Sorry, but Split Forms used as Subforms lose the Datasheet Component; I suspect that June7 was suggesting that if you want to know if something this basic can be done...you ought to simply try it; after all, it would only take thirty seconds to add a Split Form as a Subform!

I suppose a workaround would be to load two Split Forms, side-be-side, and then simultaneously filter them. In v2010 the first thing to be done would be to set the Document Window Options to Overlapping Windows:

    1. Click on FILE in the menu (top left)
    2. Click on OPTIONS (just above EXIT)
    3. Click on Current Database in left hand pane
    4. Under Applications Options, look for Document Window Options, tick Overlapping Windows
    5. Click on OK (Bottom, Right)
    6. Close the Message box, then Close and Re-open Access

Having said this, I've got to tell you that this is going to take way more effort than I'd want to spend on it, and I've been doing this well over a decade!

Thanks Linq, I had already tried it and hence why I was asking if it was possible.
