Memo Box within Form AND Reporting by Date

I am creating a database (and am VERY new to this) for the purposes of having different report variables. How would I (1) add a scroll bar to a memo box on the form and (2) ADD a new status box (the same memo box) to update the status dates? I want to be able to have a report based on status dates chosen, is this possible? I have attached a screen shot and would appreciate any and all assistance!
    Thank you!!

What is the textbox ScrollBars property set to?

If you want multiple status for each project, then need a related table and a subform.

Thank you! I'll plug my way through related tables and subforms.
