I am using access 2007 edition. In my report i want to restrict report view to A4 size single page only. and i want to give border to my entire report including report header, detail and Report footer.

please guide to format the same.

To force the printed size to A4:
    1. Open the Report in Design View
    2. Choose Page Setup from the Ribbon
    3. Click on Size
    4. Select A4 from the list

As for placing a border around your entire Report (including the Header and Footer), the only way you can do that is to create another report and embed this one as a Subreport. You can then put a border around the Subreport. If you go this route though, you will need to set the page size of the parent Report to A4, not the size of the Subreport.

my report is in A4 only But i dont want 2nd page should come. As now even though content is set A4 single page it is showing 2nd page in that it is showing Header & footer only, it is not required to me, how to avoid it.

For report border as per suggested i tried earlier. But my report becomes sub report then its page header footer will not be showing.

    please suggest alternative remedies.

If the second page is showing but has no content, then it is likely the Report is too large to fit on just one page. Try decreasing the size of the Detail Section as much as possible. If the sections of the Report are already as small as you can make them, then you can also change the Page Margins.

As long as the Report only prints one page, you can change the Page Header and Footer to Report Header and Footers. Then they should show inside the Subreport.
