    Showing the date but not the day

    In the form view, i have used =Date() to show the current date, however, it is also showing the day:

    sample: =date() - Saturday, 24 January 2015.

    What I need is only the date:

    =date() - 24 January 2015

    I have tried =now() but shows the same result. I am browsing the solutions posted but I cannot find the correct posting. for sure this was already answered.

    thank you in advance for your assistance.
